Christmas is slowly but surely knocking on the door - which means you gain a lot of weight on some places (fat) while you loose an astonishing amount of weight elsewhere (money).

If you cannot wait until the presents arrive or you are being tortured with yet another version of “My heart will go on” on the Christmas market (seriously, are they nuts?), I will therefore present you with something to ease your pain.

Since this is a blog, my presents to you are of course digital: four links to great stuff you can watch, read and listen to.

Tell me how you sit and I tell you who you are

Your chair might be one of the most personal objects you possess with the exception of your bed. It’s one of the few if not only pieces of furniture you sit on, on a daily basis. Because of that your chair tells a lot about you.

And of course, the way you sit on yours.

Roland Emmerich: It’s a disaster!!!

by Gunther Heinrich, 6 Jul 2009 in iFound

2012

I think we all know Roland Emmerich so I don’t need to write much about him or his background. He is the master of disaster. In more than one way.

Well, in some months he’ll invite us again into his world of much disaster and less story called 2012. And judging by the original trailer there’ll be many disasters waiting for us which at least look quite nice, albeit being a *little* bit physics defying here and there.

Unfortunately for Roland, his trailer is nothing compared to the unknown original trailer from the 70s for the still unreleased movie called 2012: It’s a disaster!…

A little bit of Ekova with Starlight in Daden

Originally I planned to write a small rant about the current situation of Hollywood with its unlimited flow of movie remakes, reboots and sequels.

Then I stumbled across a piece of music that made me change my plans.

Audi Filter Ad: Smoke never looked nicer

Audi Advertising called Filter

I just found this stunning advertising done by a German agency for a big car company. Whoever thought that ads have to be all about noise and visual clutter need to see this. It is simple, basic and beautiful at the same time. You could say it is a gem in the mud called advertising.
