Automatic Logging
Currently, madmind.de has some tracking tools in place to see the ups and downs of traffic.
The first is the most basic server log, which tracks any hit from anyone in a way that no one could understand or care about.
Because of this madmind uses two other options to get some fast and detailed traffic analysis. Sitemeter is the fast option and tracks simple hits while adding additional information as the provider and the referral. The behemoth of them which I use is Google Analytics that tracks a whole bunch of basic information.
What I do with the information
Rest assured that the information collected on madmind by the various tools won’t be sold or given away by me because in any way that would be stupid.
I use the gained information solely for the purpose of getting a broad overview of the traffic situation. I couldn’t care less about the fact which person is behind a visit, so rest assured that I won’t pay you a visit sometime in the future. Or send you stupid emails or letters (perhaps with the exception of hotlink-people who think it’s cool steal my bandwidth).
Everything else
When you are interacting with madmind and me, for example by email or the comment form, you can be sure that I won’t sell or distribute that information either. As with the tracking information this would be stupid.
This site contains links to many other sites, which is kind of normal for a blog, of course. But please note, that neither madmind nor me are responsible for the content and policies of the sites linked to.
